About CAMVATE Quick Release Baseplate It’s designed to add quick release capability for DSLR cameras or cages, it also allows the camera to slide back and fro on the mounting plate. An integrated dual rod clamp allows a dual 15mm rod system to be set up for follow focus, lens support, matte box and other accessories to be attached. It features 1/4″ & 3/8″ thread holes on the bottom of the Manfrotto baseplate and the rod clamp, which makes it possible to be directly attached to a tripod or dolly or other devices which helps provide the flexibility to serve various shooting purposes.
