About Movcam Universal Light Weight Support Base Plate The new lightweight and extremely low profile Universal Light Weight Support Base Plate system is compatible with many of today’s most popular compact cine style cameras and also works with popular bridge plate systems. The Movcam Universal Base Plate mounts directly onto the 9 inch Movcam Universal Mini Dovetail or any other industry standard dovetail. The base of the system features numerous threaded holes to be mounted onto a dovetail or bridge plate. The base system is built ready to secure industry standard 15mm rods with dual locking knobs. Adding the Movcam Rosette Bracket to the Universal Base Plate allows for additional industry standard spacers or handles to be attached directly to the system.
